ICT-WEB-PROMS is a two year project funded under the Cooperation programme of the EU Seventh Framework Programme. The project aims at increasing capacity of stakeholders in the Western Balkan countries to fully participate in European ICT research by creating and supporting strategic partnerships between stakeholders in the EU and the WBC while providing access to relevant knowledge.

By encouraging participation of WB stakeholders in European ICT research, they will gain access to ICT technologies already developed in the EU, and European stakeholders will be able to introduce their technologies into the West Balkan market, thus strengthening EU competitiveness.

What are the key objectives?

• Networking of WB and EU countries in the area of ICT
• Increasing the capacity of organizations from WBC to create ICT technology and participate in the FP7 ICT programme
• Creating a supporting project environment and tools that are sustainable
• Contributing to the implementation of ICT and information society strategies in the WBC and supporting EU policy for co-operation with the WBC

What does ICT WEB PROMS offer?

• A network of all stakeholders with whom the project  works, thus creating contacts with partners from all over Europe, increasing research potential and competitiveness
• Technical assistance and a help desk to advise on administrative procedures and contractual issues of participating in ICT projects
• Workshops, roadshows and brokerage events which will address specific technical areas and build capacity for participation in FP7/ICT and related funding programs
• A web portal with a partner search facility, information about calls for proposals, info-days, conferences, brokerage events and links to relevant web sites

As CEBIT, and more specifically the brokerage event FutureMatch, is directly in line with the objectives and activities of the project, ICT-WEB-PROMS is happy to promote and co-organise this event and invites its stakeholders to register.
