WINS-ICT is an EU funded project and supports the ICT research industry in the Western Balkan States. The objectives are:

• Increasing the participation of the Western Balkans in the FP 7 Programme of the European Union
• Strengthening the Science & Technology cooperation between EU and Western Balkan research cooperation.
• Deepening the bi-regional strategic relations in the ICT field
• Promoting the ICT research competences of the Western Balkans.
• Establishing a project portal including online services like research actor database and know how.

To achieve the objectives the team of WINS-ICT offers:

• - Trainings
• - Cooperation events
• - Online information (database, call for proposals etc.)
• - Policy dialogue
• - Co-ordinated cooperation with other European initiatives.

The duration of WINS-ICT is 2 years. It involves a budget of 1,1 Mil. EUR and 15 partners from Europe.

As the CEBIT is the worldwide largest exhibition and meeting point in the ICT field it self-evident that WINS-ICT cooperates with the brokerage event FutureMatch on the CEBIT 2010.
Scientists from the ICT field interested in becoming partners in European research projects are invited to register and fill in their cooperation profiles in order to schedule face-to-face meetings with ICT research organisations at the brokerage event.
